We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher who will have the opportunity to develop his/her own research program. The position is a two-year contract with the possibility of extension, and you will have the opportunity to make a real contribution in a highly collaborative and supportive research environment. Unique opportunity! We provide funding for two years of work and running costs of up to SEK 300 000 per year. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and implement a dream project within the broader One Health context. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic standing, the fit of the project/your research profile with ongoing research in our unit, and the candidate’s long-term ambition to establish an independent research direction. Candidates should submit a short research proposal outlining how the proposed work fits into the context of One Health. The research topics in this unit are as follows: bacteriology, epidemiology and disease control, food safety, parasitology, pharmacology, toxicology, and virology. Proposed research should fall within at least one of these research topics. It is strongly recommended that proposals link multiple disciplines to promote collaboration within the unit.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in cross-departmental and interdisciplinary collaboration in One Health research and who is open to learning new things and sharing knowledge. The ideal candidate should have experience in one of the following disciplines such as bacteriology, animal epidemiology and disease control, food safety, parasitology, pharmacology, toxicology or virology. The standard of work should be high and organizational skills should be strong. Candidates should have the ability to complete projects and publish the results of their work. The main working language is English. Applicants must have a PhD or a foreign degree equivalent to a Swedish PhD. This entry requirement must be fulfilled at the latest by the time of the hiring decision. You should ideally have obtained your doctoral degree within the last three years, but this can be longer if there are special circumstances. If there are special reasons (e.g. maternity leave, etc.), you can obtain your degree earlier.
