Master of Science/Engineering degree (or equivalent) with honors in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field at the time of appointment Required Knowledge:Proficient in aerospace mechanics or engineering mechanicsExcellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in control theoryBasics of robotics mechanics and controlProficiency in English (written and spoken) Proficiency in MATLAB; proficiency in Python or C/C++ with a strong willingness to improve Basic knowledge of 3D engineering software and a willingness to expand this knowledge Required Skills Highly motivated, with the perseverance to overcome research challenges Ability to formulate and systematically investigate research questions Strong interest, aptitude, and basic experience in writing high-quality technical papers Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to excellence in research Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to research excellence Advantageous Knowledge/Skills Experienced in experimental research or strong interest in developing the required skills Research experience and publications in a relevant field is an advantage but not required Successful candidates must meet the entry requirements for the PhD program at the Technische Universität München (TUM), Germany.
